Drafter/BIM Technician

About the Role

As a Drafter/BIM Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting structural engineering teams through the development of high-quality construction documents, BIM models, and coordinated project deliverables. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and fellow BIM professionals across multiple offices while contributing to projects from concept design through construction. This is primarily an office-based position that offers the benefits of in-person collaboration, mentorship, and professional development, with occasional remote work available when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain structural BIM models using Revit Structure.
• Produce detailed construction documents and structural drawings.
• Coordinate with project engineers, architects, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Support BIM standards and modeling best practices across multiple offices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Participate in project coordination and model review processes.
• Ensure drafting and modeling deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Support a wide variety of building projects including commercial, multi-family, industrial, institutional, and mixed-use developments.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience as a BIM Technician, Structural Drafter, Structural Designer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
• Experience working on building projects involving structural steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and wood construction.
• Understanding of structural engineering drawings and detailing practices.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Associate's Degree in Drafting Technology, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred.

Pay

$65,000-$85,000 depending on experience.
