ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with customers on various project designs and layouts.
  • Complete the configuration of standard, special, and custom cabinetry products using Auto Cad.
  • Implement drafting standards to complete Auto Cad drawings.
  • Create, revise, and maintain Auto Cad drawings in a timely manner.
  • Analyze, plan, and complete projects in accordance with detailed specifications.
  • Ensure designs incorporate all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Ensure project information is communicated to all necessary departments accurately and timely.
  • Develop and complete casework and mixed furniture design projects with little guidance.
  • Perform independently to effectively manage projects with minimal oversight.
  • Provide guidance to team members on technical issues related to installation or construction.
  • Create casework submittal drawings.
  • Work with the Sourcing Specialist to secure new hardware items for custom products.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience and/or Training: 1 year of related work experience.
  • 1 year of experience reading and understanding architectural specifications and plans.
  • 1 year of experience with Project Management.
  • Technology/Equipment: Familiarity with Auto Cad.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Drafting related field.
  • Experience and/or Training: 2 years of related work experience.
  • Technology/Equipment: Familiarity with Revit, and other technologies used in the Engineering field.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day.
  • Walking, speaking, hearing, and seeing.
  • Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention.
  • Use hands for tools and typing.
  • Semi-frequently lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Sometimes bend, stoop, twist, and turn.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Indoor office working environment.
  • Office is temperature-controlled all year round.
  • Minimal hazards identified.
