Drafter

Drafter Duties and Responsibilities

• Work from notes, verbal instructions, sketches, and drawings, or engineering specifications; consolidates the information to be used to prepare working plans, layouts, and detailed drawings.
• Reviews the design and helps resolve the details not completely defined.
• Determines the best combination of all the preliminary information and contributing data to develop the final design.
• Develops specifications, designs, or drawings using engineering principles, established company standards, procedures, and instructions.
• Follows best practices, policies, and procedures in the design, layout, and documentation of all company products.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Specifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G Suite.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and/or Autodesk Inventor 2018 or later.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multi-task work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
• Able to complete standard projects with technical assistance.
• Has a general understanding of bolted tanks and/or aluminum geodesic domes.

Education and Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred.
• 1-2 Years Of Relevant Drafting Experience Required.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of Drafter, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
