Drafter Duties and Responsibilities
- Work from notes, verbal instructions, sketches, and drawings, or engineering specifications; consolidates the information to be used to prepare working plans, layouts, and detailed drawings.
- Reviews the design and helps resolve the details not completely defined.
- Determines the best combination of all the preliminary information and contributing data to develop the final design.
- Develops specifications, designs, or drawings using engineering principles, established company standards, procedures, and instructions.
- Follows best practices, policies, and procedures in the design, layout, and documentation of all company products.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G Suite.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and/or Autodesk Inventor 2018 or later.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multi-task work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
- Able to complete standard projects with technical assistance.
- Has a general understanding of bolted tanks and/or aluminum geodesic domes.
Education and Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred.
- 1-2 Years Of Relevant Drafting Experience Required.

- While performing the duties of Drafter, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
