About the role
Sonic Connectors, A Superior Energy Services Company is currently seeking a CAD Draftsman to join our team in Midland TX (On-Site 5 days a week). The CAD Draftsman is responsible for assisting in design and drawings of manufactured materials within API GA requirements, and to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Knowledge and comprehension of API 6A requirements
- Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts and
- Produce fully-dimensioned, manufacturing drawings and wellhead stack-up
- Convert sketches, prototypes, and supplier data into CAD models for parts and
- Collaborate directly with engineering department to support sales, operations, manufacturing and other departments as necessary
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), material lists, revision histories, and fabrication/assembly
- Assist engineering with work instructions, operational procedures and technical
- Maintain CAD library, templates, standards, and drawing revisions and control/drawing release procedures
- Support engineering department with projects, design testing and other similar
- Support inspection/quality department by supplying drawing documentation and revisions after production feedback
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry
Skills
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAD software, including Inventor Professional, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or
- Ability to adapt to new design tools and technologies
- Strong knowledge API 6A standards in design and manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Produces error-free
- Deadline-oriented
- Ensures that customers' requests come
- Self-starter who thinks of innovative, faster ways to accomplish
