Drafter

Directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the engineering product lifecycle, including prototype, design, production, sustainment, and obsolescence phases.
• Create, modify, and expertly interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
• Develop and modify 3D CAD models using CREO and/or SolidWorks.
• Apply MIL-SPEC and ASME standards in drafting and modeling tasks.
• Build and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), Parts Lists, and drawing trees.

Requirements

• Three (3) to 10 years of experience in drafting/modeling.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
• Current Secret Clearance is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods in an office environment.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay

Base hourly range: $40.00–$45.00/hr. This range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Base salary is one component of the total rewards philosophy, which may also include bonuses, paid time off, 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits.

Work location: NAS North Island, CA. No per diem provided. Start date is as soon as possible.
