About the role
As a Drafter at Mammoet in Rosharon, TX, you will transform engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings that support heavy lifting and transportation projects. You will develop high-quality structural and equipment drawings, ensuring they comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project requirements while collaborating with engineers, operations, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and check drawings of structural and equipment systems based on layouts, sketches, specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Apply relevant codes, standards, and practical manufacturing considerations to technical drawings.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Auxiliary Equipment (AE), sales, and Equipment Management teams to understand project requirements and drawing specifications.
- Review drawings to ensure technical accuracy and functional integrity.
- Field verify and update equipment libraries.
- Support document review, approval, and revision processes.
- Maintain engineering documentation and technical records within applicable systems.
- Ensure drawings are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established engineering standards and procedures.
- Contribute to the successful execution of projects through clear and accurate technical documentation.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent technical education.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting or engineering support experience.
- Professional-level knowledge of international codes and standards.
- Experience working with technical drawings for structural or equipment systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
- Proficient communicator fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, operations teams, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience in industries such as construction, heavy lifting, transportation, energy, renewables, oil & gas, offshore, mining, or industrial services is preferred.
