Responsibilities
- Prepare complete drawings of structures, layouts, facilities or general arrangements, including section and detail views, and profiles in a manner to provide clear and concise representation of facilities.
- Regularly and consistently producing project work with accuracy and within budget and time allocation.
- Using AutoCAD/MicroStation and other software products to prepare drawings for project work.
- Working from sketches and models from verbal directions to produce drawings of expected content, detail and format in accordance with engineering and drafting standards.
- Independently resolving most problems encountered in the preparation of plans including those of intent, consistency and approach.
- Acquiring and maintaining advanced skill levels through the progression of software releases and upgrades.
- Preparing three-dimensional computer-generated drawings.
- Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of add-on or companion software programs in the preparation of civil and surveying drawings as needed to efficiently handle data translation as well as increase productivity.
- Assisting with the training and advancement of skills for other, less-experienced drafting department personnel.
Requirements
- College degree in an acceptable curriculum, two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-sided drafting/design field and 4 years of experience as a Drafter.
- Minimum 1-2 Years of Autocad experience required.
- Familiarity with Microstation is also preferred for future work.
