About the Role

We are looking for a Drafter who will support engineers by creating and updating prints for all products. The drafter will help with ensuring that all programs will have proper documentation and prints while allowing engineers to design products as needed. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering drawing workload.
• Help with standardization of documentation for designs.
• Complete ECO and Redline print updates.
• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis.
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing.
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists.
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers.
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations.
• Develop technical reports for engineers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or SolidWorks Certification preferred (Bachelor’s a plus).

Skills

• SolidWorks: 5+ years’ experience.
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers.
• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe.
• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports.
