About the role
Patrols and provides enforcement, detection and crime prevention duties in the protection, safety and welfare of faculty, staff, students, visitors and all property within the area under the control and jurisdiction of Alamo Colleges District.
Reports to the District Department of Public Safety.
Responsibilities
- Enforces laws and ordinances within the designated area.
- Investigates criminal activity and conducts patrols to prevent crime.
- Provides security and assistance to individuals and property.
- Communicates effectively with community members and stakeholders.
- Completes reports and maintains records as required.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED).
- Two years of experience as a licensed peace officer.
- Licensed as a peace officer by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or have successfully completed the TCOLE reactivation examination two or more years ago.
- Prefer Basic Peace Officer certification by the TCOLE.
Qualifications
- Valid driver license.
- Motor Vehicle Report required in addition to background check and drug screen.
