DPC Planner/ Buyer

About the role

Position Overview: The Buyer/Planner is responsible for an equal balance of production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and supplier management. This role coordinates sales orders, work orders, procurement, and open orders to ensure materials and products are available to support production and meet customer delivery requirements. The Buyer/Planner works closely with Sales, Production, and other internal teams to manage changing priorities, inventory needs, supplier commitments, and production schedules. The role also develops strong vendor relationships, supports sourcing strategies, and proactively addresses cost, quality, and delivery concerns.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute sales and work orders to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Manage purchasing and replenishment of assigned products while balancing demand, inventory, lead times, and cost.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and sourcing matrices.
• Maintain accurate supplier acknowledgments, promise dates, pricing, and order information.
• Review critical-need items
