Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday.
Schedule
Saturday & Sunday, 15:00–23:00 (16 hours per week)
Pay
Starting from $19.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures
- Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
- Performing tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5–7 year U.S. work history may be required
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to understand English and communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
- Physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
