Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Requirements

• Monday-Friday (Floater)
• Starting from USD $19.50/Hr.
• Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff and community members.
• Ensure safety and efficient reporting.
• Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Affiliate with fire drills, crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.
• Affiliate with administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.
• Affiliate with staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.
• Affiliate in daily operational duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Must be available to work weekends

• Must be able to verbally de-escalate situations
