About the role

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
• Performing tasks assigned by supervisor or manager

Requirements

• Valid NY State Security Guard License
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both verbal and written form
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
• Technical working knowledge of building systems
• Protective security experience a plus

Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field (preferred but not required).

Pay

Up to USD $19.45/Hr.
