About the role

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

Responsibilities

• Control access by verifying residents, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Monitor entry and exit gates and operate access control systems.
• Ensure all gates, doors, and common areas remain secure.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude.
• Follow company policies and post orders at all times.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and resident requests.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Report irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Prior security or customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 0800-1600 (40 hrs.)
• Monday-Friday 0000-0800 (40 hrs.)
• Monday-Friday 1600-0000 (40 hrs.)
• Saturday & Sunday 0000-0800 (16 hrs.)
• Saturday & Sunday 1600-0000 (16 hrs.)
• Saturday & Sunday 0800-1600 (16 hrs.)

Pay

Up to USD $20.00/Hr.
