About the role
The DOT Truck Driver operates Class A air-braked equipped combination vehicles to and from Retail and Donation sites in a safe and efficient manner.
Pay
Hourly rate: $26.49 (starting salary $25.75 per hour)
Schedule
Four 10-hour work days (4/10s)
Responsibilities
- Drives diesel-powered tractor with 27’ or 53’ trailer between distribution center, retail stores, and donation centers.
- Backs up trailer to loading dock.
- Places stairs against the back of the trailer to load items into trailer.
- May place chains on tires in snowy weather.
- Handles no-touch freight; transports Class B compactors and dumpsters to landfill or transfer station.
- Completes daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks; ensures safe vehicle operation and material handling.
- Reports repair needs and follows all Goodwill and FMCSA safety regulations.
- Reports all safety hazards, incidents, and accidents immediately.
- Builds and maintains good rapport with customers and clients.
