DOT Laborer w/ CDL-A

About the role
This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience driving a tractor trailer with manual transmission and air-brakes required. Experience in the construction industry and with electronic log books preferred. The employee is required to have a valid CDL A, reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Driving company vehicle- must comply with company vehicle policies. Vehicles include 1 ton dump truck with trailer, 1 ton dually with trailer and a semi with a 53 foot trailer.
- Completing Department of Transportation logs and paperwork accurately.
- Unloading/loading of materials into and out of trucks.
- Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds and possible usage of hand tools and small power tools.
- Performing other relevant duties as assigned and assisting other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.) in their performance.
Qualifications
- This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Benefits
- RAM will compensate a $50 per diem each day for daily food allowance.
- Some technology use may be required. If so, the employee will be properly trained on how to use software’s/equipment/etc.
Work Environment
- The employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.
- Frequent communication with superintendents, project managers and construction plans and blueprints.
- Maintaining a clean, organized and hazard free work area.
- Following all RAM health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Physical Demands: Rarely = less than 10% Occasionally = up to 33% Frequently = up to 66% Continuously = 67% to 100%
Travel
Travel is required for this position, the employee must be willing to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time.
