DOT Laborer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicle- must comply with company vehicle policies.
  • Vehicles include 1 ton dump truck with trailer, 1 ton dually with trailer and a semi with a 53 foot trailer.
• Completing Department of Transportation logs and paperwork accurately.
• Unloading/loading of materials into and out of trucks.
• Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds and possible usage of hand tools and small power tools.
• Performing other relevant duties as assigned and assisting other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.) in their performance.

Education, Experience & Qualifications Required

• This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience driving a stake truck with manual transmission and air-brakes required.
• Experience in the construction industry and with electronic log books preferred.
• The employee is required to have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Chauffeur Endorsement Preferred.

Travel

• Travel is required for this position, the employee must be willing to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time.
• RAM will compensate a $50 per diem each day for daily food allowance.

Work Environment

• May include but are not limited to the following:
  • seasonal temperatures,
  • high spaces,
  • small spaces,
  • loud and frequent noises,
  • standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day,
  • indoor/outdoor settings,
  • areas close to traffic.

Following Instructions

• Adhering to instructions from superintendents, project managers and construction plans and blueprints.

Cleanliness

• Maintaining a clean, organized and hazard free work area.

Safety Compliance

• Following all RAM health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.

Physical Demands

• Rarely = less than 10%
• Occasionally = up to 33%
• Frequently = up to 66%
• Continuously = 67% to 100%
