DOT Driver - Truck Rental - Roanoke

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a Full Time DOT Driver for its Enterprise Remarking Division in Roanoke, VA. This role involves delivering box trucks safely and professionally while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

About the role

The DOT Driver transports medium-duty trucks, cargo, and heavy-duty pickup trucks to and from rental locations, dealerships, and vendors. The position may require local or out-of-area travel, following written directions, and occasional vehicle cleaning or light maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area, adhering to all road safety rules.
• Transport customers and vehicles to destinations safely and courteously.
• Ride with or follow another driver to drop off or pick up multiple vehicles.
• Plan travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
• Communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties, including occasional vehicle cleaning.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current and valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years (total points on driving record cannot exceed 8).
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions (e.g., DUI/DWI) on driving record in the past 3 years.
• At least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must meet DOT regulations, including passing a DOT medical examination or submitting a valid medical examiner’s certificate.
• No moonlighting (no other paid employment allowed).

Pay

$18 per hour.

• Sunday: Off
• Monday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: Off
