DOT Driver - Truck Rental - Houston

About the role

The Enterprise Truck Division is seeking a Full Time DOT Driver to deliver box trucks safely and on time to destinations while providing courteous customer service. This position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, driving vehicles that require DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Transport medium-duty trucks, cargo, and heavy-duty pickup trucks to and from rental locations, dealerships, and vendors.
• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area, adhering to all road rules.
• Deliver customers and vehicles safely and courteously to their destinations.
• Ride with or follow another driver to drop off or pick up multiple vehicles.
• Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
• Communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
• Clean vehicles when required.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license with no more than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past three (3) years (one of these must fall off within 12 months of employment).
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions (e.g., DUI/DWI) on driving record in the past five (5) years.
• Must have at least twelve (12) consecutive months of prior work experience in the last 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must comply with DOT regulations, including submitting a medical examiner’s certificate or passing a DOT medical examination.
• No moonlighting (no other paid employment allowed).

Pay

$11 per hour

Schedule

• Sunday: Off
• Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: Off
