DOT Driver - Rochester

About the role

The Part Time DOT Driver is responsible for delivering box trucks safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while giving helpful, courteous and professional customer service. This position works outside in all weather conditions to safely distribute vehicles on and off the lot. Candidates will be asked to drive vehicles that require DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Transport medium duty trucks, cargo, and heavy-duty pickup trucks to and from rental locations, dealerships, and vendors, as well as navigate written directions.
• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
• Deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
• Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicle(s) or pick up multiple vehicles.
• Organize travel route and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
• Communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
• Clean vehicles when required.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations and submit an appropriate medical examiner’s certificate or successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
• No moonlighting (no other paid employment allowed).

Pay

$16 / hour

Schedule

3 days a week between Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 6:00pm.
