Door & Hardware Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from start to finish
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, door schedules, and project documents
• Interpret floor plans, door handing, hardware requirements, wall types, and opening details
• Cook up coordination with general contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Track project schedules, material deliveries, and installation timelines
• Maintain project budgets and keep accurate project records
• Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining strong customer relationships
• Manage multiple active projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and project milestones
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial door, frame, and hardware projects is required
• Strong understanding of commercial doors, architectural hardware, and construction documents
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, door schedules, and floor plans
• Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and manufacturers
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Experience with industry software such as Comsense, AVAware, AVAProject, PRO-TECH, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar systems is highly preferred
• AutoCAD experience is a plus
