Responsibilities
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
- Establish, manage, and fulfill a caseload communication plan, including individual fund-raising goals and personalized strategies, to effectively steward, educate, cultivate, and solicit gifts from supporters each year, with an emphasis on gifts of $5,000 and higher.
- Manage a caseload of assigned supporters and maintain and seek to engage with a smaller additional list of prospective donors, following an established communication plan that is specific to each supporter and prospective supporter and personally connect with each supporter at least once a year.
- Maintain contact and build relationships with existing supporters in the region assigned through phone calls, written correspondence, and personal visits, as appropriate.
- Work diligently to meet agreed upon monthly and annual activity and production goals and be purposeful about every visit and communication and the desired outcome for each “touch”.
- Work collaboratively with other Advancement team members to develop strategies, solicitation approaches, develop funding opportunity materials and supporting documentation to present to supporters.
- Effectively present ministry funding opportunities to supporters.
- Become familiar with the supporters’ passions and interests and share opportunities to engage and support areas of the ministry that align with those interests.
- Network and build new ministry relationships resulting in financial support for AiG.
- Communicate the impact of the ministry outreaches and share the opportunities for existing and potential strategic partners/donors in the region to partner with AiG.
- Organize and execute ministry fundraising events in the region involving CEOs, President, and Vice President of Advancement, including any necessary research, strategic planning, communication and follow up.
- Recruit existing and potential strategic partners/supporters in the region to attend special private events with ministry leaders on-site at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter.
- Utilize AiG’s CRM database tools to monitor donor activity in the region and determine new opportunities for strategic donor relationships.
- Meet regularly with supervisors to discuss and refine caseload plans, donor strategies, to track progress, to receive coaching, travel schedules/opportunities, and to keep open lines of communication.
- Timely document all supporter interactions in the CRM, and complete all necessary follow up with supporters, including assistance with gift acknowledgements, and other items.
- Make thank you calls and write cards to AiG supporters making gifts to the ministry or requesting prayer.
- Maintain thorough and timely notes of all supporter contacts in AiG’s CRM.
- Handle and respond to calls and emails from supporters and prospective supporters in assigned geographic area.
Requirements
- Agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining positive relationships with people of varying backgrounds and ages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess the ability to review and analyze data, conduct relevant research, and engage in strategic planning with respect to Advancement.
- Strong presentation skills and willingness/ability to ask for financial support for the ministry.
- Possess the ability to coordinate and execute special events in a thorough and timely manner.
- Must be well-organized and have strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power Point/Keynote).
- Must be highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities with professionalism and grace.
- Must be a highly motivated, goal-oriented self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment without extensive administrative support but must also be a positive and effective team player.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions for special events on site.
- We would consider a remote position for an experienced candidate based in Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, Indianapolis, Kansas City or other strategic locations.
- Education & Experience:
- 5 years or more of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including demonstrated fundraising and marketing success.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Answers in Genesis, Creation Museum, and Ark Encounter is strongly preferred.
