About the role
ImpactLife, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a Donor Relations Intern to promote the importance of blood donations on campus at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, and in the surrounding region. This internship offers experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Public Health, and other areas, providing a comprehensive understanding of blood banking from donor recruitment to delivery of blood products at hospital partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as part of the team fulfilling the mission of saving lives through blood donations.
- Promote blood donation awareness and engagement on campus and in the community.
- Develop business and communication skills through hands-on experience.
- Interact with the public to encourage blood donations.
Requirements
- Be a friendly, outgoing person.
- Demonstrate good character and clear communication.
- Comfortable speaking to and interacting with the public.
- Complete a required pre-employment drug screen and background check.
