High Tide Theatrical is seeking a Development, Events & Donor Relations Intern for its Fall 2026 Internship Program. This position offers hands-on experience supporting fundraising, sponsorship, donor stewardship, and special-event planning within a growing nonprofit theatre company.
Responsibilities
- Researching prospective sponsors and funders
- Supporting donor-stewardship projects
- Tracking playbill advertisements
- Assisting with fundraising and cultivation events
- Maintaining event task trackers
- Drafting thank-you and acknowledgment language
- Researching grant and sponsorship opportunities
- Organizing sponsor packets and supporting materials
- Assisting with post-event follow-up systems
Requirements
- Professional, organized, and discreet
- Strong written communicator
- Interested in nonprofit development, fundraising, events, donor relations, business, or community partnerships
- Comfortable conducting research and organizing information
- Reliable with confidential or relationship-based work
- Able to manage details while understanding broader organizational goals
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must arrange own transportation to onsite activities
Schedule
The intern will contribute approximately 5–8 hours per week. Most work will be remote or hybrid, with some required onsite meetings, performances, and events.
- Mandatory attendance includes monthly staff meetings, Ride the Cyclone College Night on September 11, and The Rocky Horror Show College Night on October 23
- Additional development or board meetings may be requested
