About the role
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and innovative curator with a passion for contemporary art. They will be responsible for organizing exhibitions, managing collections, and engaging with the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement exhibition programs that align with the museum's mission and vision.
- Research and select artworks for exhibitions, ensuring they meet the museum's standards and enhance its collection.
- Manage the acquisition and curation of new works for the collection.
- Work closely with artists, collectors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the creation and presentation of exhibitions.
- Collaborate with the education department to develop educational programming related to exhibitions.
- Conduct research and writing for publications and catalogues associated with exhibitions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with artists, galleries, and other cultural institutions.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a curatorial role.
- Proven ability to manage and execute complex projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary art trends and practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse communities and audiences.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
