Job Summary
To provide persuasive, faith-informed donor communications to support the team during high-volume fundraising seasons, ensuring timely delivery of donor proposals and impact reports that align with the organization’s mission and spiritual identity.
Responsibilities
- Support marketing and fundraising workflows by crafting ~1,000-word donor proposals and follow-up impact reports based on raw field materials such as partner reports, trip notes, imagery, and budgets.
- Identify the most compelling elements of field stories and elevate them into motivating donor narratives.
- Review raw field documentation (reports, notes, budgets, photos) to extract the most compelling narrative elements.
- Write structured donor proposals following the established template—including highlights, partner introduction, project description, theme development, and call to action.
- Craft six-month donor updates, summarizing how gifts were used with clarity and emotional resonance.
- Weave biblical references or Catholic spiritual truths throughout the narrative as appropriate.
- Select supporting images and write concise, meaningful cutlines.
- Ensure smooth transitions and theme consistency throughout the piece, maintaining persuasive momentum in a limited word-count format.
- Adapt tone and message to donor motivations, emphasizing human-centered storytelling.
- Collaborate with internal teams and follow structured templates.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in persuasive or donor-focused writing.
- Ability to synthesize raw, technical, or field-based information into polished narratives.
- Strong thematic development and narrative cohesion skills.
- Excellent research and interpretation abilities.
- Clear, concise writing style suitable for high-impact fundraising materials.
- Familiarity with biblical foundations and Catholic teaching (like the Apostles’ Creed) to authentically integrate spiritual themes into writing.
