Essential Functions of the Job
- Perform daily tasks within the processing team, including accepting, sorting, and pricing donated items.
- Welcome donors in a timely and respectful manner, ensuring they feel appreciated and understood.
- Handle the donation process with care, greeting donors, assisting with unloading donations, and communicating the Carpenter's Corner Thrift Store story.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception, presort, and processing areas.
- Keep personal processing station clean and organized.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to the Carpenter's Corner Thrift Stores' Mission Statement.
- Recognize quality merchandise and seek guidance on pricing from the Processing Manager when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with the Processing Manager, other processing employees, and donors daily.
- Create a healthy and productive work environment by working collaboratively with fellow employees.
- Achieve daily and weekly production goals.
- Work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Comply with policies and procedures related to donated items, including prohibited items and pricing guides.
- Use the donation receiving script to communicate appreciation and the Carpenter's Corner Story.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have a pleasant and willing attitude, a servant's heart, and a friendly, smiling demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong English language skills.
- Ability to write in legible, clear handwriting.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Commitment to Carpenter's Corner Thrift Stores' mission and mission statement.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.

Work Schedule/Hours
- Part time to full time, Monday through Saturday, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
- Attendance at specific meetings, off-site events, or training, as required.
