Donation Bundling at Inspired Home Show with Habitat for Humanity Chicago

The ReStore is Habitat for Humanity's ecosystem in action - every purchase, donation, and volunteer hour breathes life into our mission. Each simple yet significant act contributes to bringing safe, affordable housing to the 1 in 10 Chicagoans who need assistance. Every year, ReStore Chicago diverts over 800 tons of goods from the landfill and reinvests half a million dollars directly into the communities that need it most.

In addition to helping families create safe, decent, and affordable housing, you can expect a fun and rewarding time while volunteering. It’s a great place to interact with staff and volunteers while engaging with your community. Opportunities are available Tuesday through Sunday all year round, as well as during special events at trade shows and exhibitions.

• Inspired Home Show

At the Inspired Home Show, vendors donate their brand-new products to ReStore and other local nonprofits once the trade show is over. At the conclusion of the show, our volunteers will pack the product to be delivered to both ReStores. In 2025, we packed over 100 pallets of kitchenware, home goods, and tools that were sold at ReStore, generating tens of thousands of dollars in sales which went back into Habitat Programs and Chicago communities.
