About The Role
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) offers a no-fee program to assist men and women in their rehabilitation journey. The organization values its dedicated employees who contribute to the maintenance and effectiveness of its programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
- Aid donors in receiving donated items and provide receipts
- Keep all reports and paperwork as directed by the Supervisor
- Sort and organize donated materials into appropriate containers and stack them as instructed
- Help TSA PA/Drivers load donations onto trucks as needed
- Inform the supervisor of needed items before running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts)
- Secure and lock the Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Pass a background check, including a criminal history and sex offender registry check
- Ability to read, write, and understand both written and verbal instructions
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to interact with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors
Physical Demands
- Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously
- Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts
- Move products up to 75 lbs
- Perform various repetitive motion tasks
- Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Schedule
Stores operate 7 days a week. Work schedules are determined by management and associates must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
