Donation Assistant/ Driver

Pickup and Delivery

• Pick up donations from designated businesses, load in agency van, and unload at Service Center.
• Weigh items and accurately record totals by category for each partner business.
• Sort, stock, rotate, and restock items in designated locations ensuring oldest items are distributed first.
• Routinely inspect perishable items and dispose of items as needed.
• Complete daily paperwork and place in file prior to end of shift.

Food Bank Deliveries

• Coordinate and make deliveries to other pantries, as requested.

Maintenance

• Manage maintenance of the agency van including filling with gas, cleaning the interior, keeping the windows free of snow or other debris, and coordinating routine maintenance.

Distribution Areas

• Keep all distribution areas cleaned, disinfected, and organized.
• Empty trash as needed.

Volunteer Support

• Absorb and train Food Pantry volunteers.
• Absorb and train Doing The Most Good Market volunteers.

Christmas Programs

• Absorb and train Christmas program volunteers as requested.
