As a Donation Advocate, you’ll play an essential role in guiding families through grief and family support through the organ donation process. Your expertise in grief counseling and support will be pivotal in helping families honor their loved ones’ legacy. What You’ll Do: Provide Compassionate Support: Serve as a vital resource for families, offering comfort and guidance as they navigate the decision-making process for organ, tissue, and eye donation.Conduct Assessments: Carefully perform donor risk assessments and interviews, ensuring that the needs of both the family and donation process are respected and met with dignity.Engage in Crisis Intervention: Respond to emotionally charged situations with poise and empathy, providing crisis intervention and support to families coping with sudden loss and griefCollaborate and Educate: Partner with our dedicated team to create and implement supportive and educational programs that elevate LifeShare’s mission and offer families a high standard of care.Be a Steady Advocate: Maintain open, compassionate communication with hospital staff, families, and internal teams, guiding everyone involved through the process with clarity and empathy.Engage in Continuous Support Initiatives: Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and follow-up activities, contributing to an exceptional experience for donor families.
