About the role
Join us in our mission as a DV Advocate at Catholic Charities of Delaware, Otsego, and Schoharie Counties. As the DV Advocate you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through direct services to survivors of domestic violence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to survivors of domestic violence, to include counseling, legal advocacy, transportation, and referrals, etc.
- Complete intake process for prospective residential and nonresidential clients to determine if they are eligible for program services.
- Cover the 24-hour crisis hotline on a rotating basis.
- Maintain working knowledge of the NYS Office of Children and Family Services regulatory requirements for domestic violence residences and assist the Domestic Violence Program Director in ensuring that regulatory requirements at the Catholic Charities domestic violence safe dwelling are being met.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Human Services or related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population
- Valid driver's license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
Pay
$22.198/hour
Schedule
Monday - Wednesday, & Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm; Thursdays 8:30AM to 6:30PM
