Development and Intellectual Disabilities Services (DDA) at Sheppard Pratt offer programs devoted to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including residential programs that provide homes and person-centered supports. The Odyssey Residential Program provides single-family homes throughout the Frederick community to approved individuals.

Pay

$18.50/hr

Schedule

  • Sunday: 9a–5p
  • Monday: 3p–11p
  • Tuesday: 3p–11p
  • Wednesday: OFF
  • Thursday: OFF
  • Friday: OFF
  • Saturday: OFF

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate client involvement in meaningful activities of daily life to support their overall mental health and wellbeing.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement with general supervision after training and ongoing experience.
  • Facilitate client participation in therapeutic and social group activities by developing an understanding of what motivates them individually.
  • Implement individual client care plans to meet client needs and goals.
  • Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Positively referenced relevant work, student, or volunteer experience.
  • An active, non-provisional driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
