About the role

This internship opportunity in the Domestic Violence Advocacy programs will support your learning in the following:

  • Learning about the dynamics of Domestic Violence, prevention, and awareness.
  • Shadowing and practicing case management & peer counseling skills.
  • Learning court procedures around domestic violence with SafePlan advocates, including protection orders.
  • Training on completion of data entry of domestic violence information into database.
  • Involvement in DV education and/or support groups, including how to develop and facilitate groups & trainings.
  • Accompanying to Task Force Meetings and DV awareness trainings, if possible.
  • Using BHN technology and ability to access WIFI and systems to perform duties while offsite.

Enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s with a related degree (required).
