Domestic assistant 30hrs

Band 2 - £26,696 - £28,988 pro rata plus £1,461 Distant Island Allowance pro rata. 30 hours per week on a permanent contract.

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant to join the Domestic Services Team within the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, HS1. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure high-quality service provision. You will work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

The primary work base will be within the Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. Various hours working 5 days over 7.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Support and work alongside new staff in the working environment.
• Comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and the Code of Conduct within three months of full-time employment (or up to six months for part-time workers).

Requirements

• Registration with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme) is required for this post.

Pay

• Band 2: £26,696 - £28,988 pro rata.
• Additional £1,461 Distant Island Allowance pro rata.

Schedule

• 30 hours per week on a permanent contract.
• Various hours working 5 days over 7.
