About the role

The Account Representative function exists to seek, grow, and maintain the customer base for IMMY’s product offerings in the Upper Midwest Territory. This position will be located within the territory and is responsible for qualifying customer leads from tradeshows, site visits, cold calls, and online inquiries, educating them about IMMY’s products, and moving them through the sales pipeline to ultimately create lifelong customers.

The Account Representative works closely with the technical specialist, customer service specialists, and the marketing team, and reports to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Close accounts in alignment with defined monthly, quarterly, and/or annual goals to ensure mutually beneficial satisfaction for the customer and IMMY.
  • Call prospective customers to drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information, orders, and other inquiries about IMMY’s product offerings.
  • Maintain a working, technical knowledge of the diseases IMMY tests for and the tests themselves to engage in technical discussions with potential clients and customers.
  • Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date with changes in the medical diagnostic industry, fungal diseases, and the global customer base.
  • Recommend changes to products, services, and policies based on customer feedback and product performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales opportunity progress in SalesForce, ERP, and/or other CRM tools.
  • Travel to tradeshows and site visits to showcase IMMY’s product offerings and represent the company at sales and marketing events.
  • Maintain relationships with lab managers and lead technicians to create strong advocates for IMMY’s tests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Business (Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance) or Life Science (Biology, Botany, and Chemistry) degree preferred.
  • Comfortable making cold calls.
  • Understanding of SalesForce, ERP platforms, and/or other CRM software.
  • Exceptional relational and communication skills.
  • Punctuality and professionalism.
  • Medical sales, laboratory background, or understanding of the industry preferred.

This role is remote but requires the employee to live within the Upper Midwest Territory, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
