About the role
Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced and motivated Solutions Engineer with a passion for endpoint security controls. This role focuses on achieving the technical “win” during the sales cycle by demonstrating value, articulating technical challenges, and aligning Palo Alto Networks solutions with customer needs. The Domain Consultant – Endpoint will work closely with the sales team and serve as a technical expert on Palo Alto Networks products, particularly Endpoint Privilege Manager (part of the Idira platform), which addresses weaknesses in endpoint defenses against privileged attackers.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations to create excitement around Palo Alto Networks technology.
- Use knowledge of workforce operating systems and security concepts to align customer needs with Palo Alto Networks solutions.
- Plan and execute proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations of Palo Alto Networks products with prospective customers.
- Leverage sales experience to position Palo Alto Networks value and differentiators to secure the technical win.
- Document customer interactions in Salesforce.
- Collect and deliver feedback to the product management team to influence product direction and champion the voice of customers.
- Earn customer trust by demonstrating expertise in endpoint and user security.
- Present and evangelize at tradeshows and customer events.
Qualifications
- Advanced working knowledge (5+ years) of at least two of the following operating systems: Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Prior experience working primarily with endpoint/workstation products or solutions in a sales capacity.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint and identity management technologies such as Active Directory, Intune, SCCM/MECM, Jamf, and endpoint troubleshooting.
- Strong presentation skills and professional demeanor, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of security concepts and the development of security roles within organizations to meet functional, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to anticipate risks, devise solutions in the moment, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proven ability to run technical discovery, design solutions, deliver demonstrations, answer RFPs, and support complex sales opportunities.
- Willingness to travel as needed; experience navigating enterprise-scale sales cycles is preferred.
- Experience working with REST APIs, scripts, or other no-code/low-code systems.
Pay
The starting base salary for this position is expected to range from $198,000 to $273,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
