We also might include a short paragraph with posting dates and agency info. Could be placed in About the role or separate small p before sections. The instruction: "fold minor metadata into a shortor drop it." So we can include a short p with Initial Posting Date, Application Deadline, Agency Department of Justice, Position Type Employee, Position Title (maybe not repeat as heading). Let's add a p after the heading? Actually we need to output only HTML fragment; we can start with a p containing that metadata, then sections. But we must not repeat job title as a heading; we can include it in the p. Thus:
Initial Posting Date: 09/17/2026 • Application Deadline: 10/08/2026 • Agency: Department of Justice • Position Type: Employee • Position Title: DOJ Claims Examiner - Crime Victim and Survivor Services Division
Then sections. Now we need to ensure we preserve all substantive information from the job description. Let's verify we captured: - Mission: "Our mission is to lessen the financial impact of violent crimes on victims, survivors, and their families." Included? Not yet. We need to include in About the role. - Program details: "The Compensation Section administers the Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) program, which processes more than 7,000 new claims each year. Our mission is to lessen the financial impact of violent crimes on victims, survivors, and their families. Each biennium, CVSSD distributes over $8 million to cover expenses such as medical care, counseling, funeral costs, lost wages, sexual assault forensic exams, and child abuse medical assessments." Include. - Caseload: "manage a caseload of approximately 2,000 active claims annually" - Duties: we captured many. - Also note about "Provides supporting documentation upon receipt of request from the District Attorney’s Office prior to restitution hearings.Attends and testifies virtually or in person at restitution hearings to explain CVC processes, allowed expenses, and the basis for award and payment." That's under Court Testimony; we need to include that as a responsibility. - Program Coverage and Support: Rotates as Examiner of the Day, providing coverage for other examiners and claims specialists, supporting applicants and partners with timely, trauma-informed assistance; Provides administrative support as needed. - Training: Provides training to CVC staff, claims examiners and program service providers as required to strengthen trauma-informed, victim-centered practices across Oregon’s and provide support to victims of crimes. - Other duties as assigned. We need to include all these as list items. Let's extract each duty sentence from the DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in Part) and subsequent sections.
