About the role
Bolton & Menk is seeking a Construction Project Representative through its DOD SkillBridge Program. The program provides service members with civilian work experience. This opportunity is located in offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction observations and construction staking on assigned projects
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of construction activities, including recording quantities and materials testing
- Perform basic engineering computations and make basic engineering survey measurements
- Gain experience reviewing and approving project submittals, contract pay vouchers, work orders, change orders, and supplemental agreements
- Interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors
Requirements
- Must be a Military Service Member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before separation
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain
- General knowledge of public infrastructure/civil construction and AutoCAD drafting preferred
- Valid driver’s license and insurability under the firm’s standard rates
- Owns their own transportation and will be reimbursed for business-related travel

Wages and benefits provided by the Department of Defense while participating in the program.
Schedule
The 3-month immersive experience predominately involves collaboration with the firm’s seasoned construction services team in the field.
