About the role
The DoD SkillBridge Internship Program allows service members to complete an internship with UPMC during the last 180 days of their active-duty contract. This temporary assignment provides industry-relevant tasks that prepare service members for civilian employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform industry-relevant tasks aligned with your military experience.
- Gain valuable skills and knowledge applicable to civilian careers.
- Receive military compensation and coverage of military benefits.
Requirements
- Must be on Active Duty Orders.
- Must be able to obtain at least 60 days of approval to participate; 90 or more is preferred.
- Release for SkillBridge is always mission-dependent and requires authorization from your unit Commander.
