DoD SkillBridge Intern – (Field Service Engineer III) (Active Duty Service Members)

Evaluations and Support

• Evaluate components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
• Provide technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment
• Support aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations
• Deploy worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations including hostile environments

Requirements

• Minimum of four years aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent
• Must be active duty military and eligible for a Skillbridge Internship
• Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems
• Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
• Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
• Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
• CompTIA Security+ certified

Travel Requirements

• CONUS TDYs and OCONUS deployments – 50-75% travel

Required for this position: U.S. Citizenship and a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Top Secret / SCI Level.
