DoD SkillBridge Intern – (Field Service Engineer) (Active Duty Service Members)

Evaluations and Support

• Evaluate components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
• Provide technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment
• Support aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations
• Aid in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel on general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks

Requirements

• Minimum of four years’ aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent
• Must be able to operate as a single maintainer

Desired Skills

• Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems
• Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
• Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
• Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
• CompTIA Security+ certified (certification required within one year)

About the Role

Performing a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, test, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment.

Salary range is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Position requires 10 - 25% CONUS travel.
