Stories have the power to shift culture, challenge assumptions, and spark conversations that lead to real change. We’re exploring the creation of a documentary that shines a light on maternal grief and the lived experiences of motherless mothers — helping raise awareness, reduce stigma, and advocate for better support.
Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and interests, you may support with:
- Documentary planning and creative development
- Story research and interview preparation
- Filming interviews and supporting production activities
- Video editing and post-production
- Creating short films and promotional content
- Supporting audio, lighting, and technical aspects of filming
- Helping shape a compelling, sensitive narrative that reflects motherless mothers’ experiences with respect and emotional intelligence
Requirements
- An interest in filmmaking, storytelling, journalism, or digital media
- Creativity and strong communication skills
- Sensitivity when working with personal and emotional stories
- Experience in filming, editing, production, or related areas (welcome but not essential for all aspects of the project)
- A collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded approach
We welcome volunteers at all levels — from aspiring filmmakers building a portfolio to experienced professionals wanting to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause.
