Job Summary
Develops clear-written materials to support product development activities such as operations, maintenance or repair manuals, tutorials, specifications and help systems
Interviews technical staff to collect product information and specifications
Collects and organizes technical information and product images and coordinates layout for publication
Adheres to agreed terminology, style and editorial quality standards
Essential Functions
- Supports engineering, technology, production, or research departments by collecting and maintaining blueprints, specifications, schematics, or other forms of technical documentation.
- Verifies accuracy of documentation and completeness of files and resolves discrepancies.
- Ensures documents are retained and destroyed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Implements processes for document approval, distribution, modification, and destruction.
- May utilize an electronic document/record management system.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Detail oriented. Attentiveness. Clerical skills. Ability to understand and follow directions.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel Requirements
- No or very little travel likely.
