About the Role
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Document Control Specialist II with our large power and utilities client in Lake Mary, FL. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Pay
$27.00 - $32.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Responsibilities
- Uploading information into a document management system (CastPro, etc.) including equipment drawings, test reports, instruction manuals, photos, etc.
- Retrieving and uploading metadata (manufacturer, equipment type, Serial #, Item #, PO #, drawing type, drawing numbers, page, revision #’s, etc.) from the aforementioned equipment drawings, test reports, instruction manuals, photos, etc. into the document management system to ensure the documents are searchable and retrievable in the future.
- Routing, tracking, and coordinating equipment design reviews (drawings) with design engineering, asset management, and manufacturers.
- Reviewing technical work produced by self and others to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supporting the on-time filing of engineering documentation for Transmission Major equipment into the document management system to support design engineering and provide related support to Designers and Engineers as needed.
- Providing non-administrative support to engineers as needed.
- Facilitating communication with internal and external customers to complete technical tasks.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation in accordance with established work procedures.
- Performing technical data requests (compiles, organizes, uploads, etc. data in databases and programs, etc.).
- Utilizing and maintaining software systems (e.g., CastPro, Maximo, etc.) and hardware (printers, plotters, scanners, etc.) as necessary for job-specific responsibilities.
- Developing and/or reviewing selected correspondence, reports, schedules, and/or technical documentation.
- Making appropriate modifications and recommendations as necessary.
- Performing routine and detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Appropriately selecting and utilizing the most effective tools, methods, and technologies to complete assignments.

Requirements

Qualifications
- Possess basic understanding of various types of engineering documents including drawings, instruction books, and technical reports.
- Possess basic understanding of major Transmission equipment (i.e., Transformers/regulators, breakers, regulators, switches, instrument transformers, reactors, capacitors, etc.).
Skills
- Enhanced Computer skills (Excel, OneNote).
- Good communication skills.
