About the role
The Document Control Specialist at MPS is responsible for managing project documentation, compliance reporting, and administrative tasks. This role requires a combination of education, training, and relevant experience, particularly in a construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs administrative functions such as filing, correspondence log maintenance, and processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Manages documentation, compliance reporting, and all filing system developments.
- Aids in the preparation of reports and PowerPoint presentations, and updates project administrative procedures and project manuals.
- Tracks and manages the resolution of Request for Information (RFI), submittals, and change orders.
- Reviews, logs, and acts upon incoming and outgoing documents associated with projects.
- Inputs daily project information into the computer system.
- Works with the Construction Management Team to prepare and submit monthly reports.
- Archives all project records and maintains record keeping of such documents.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Business Management or related discipline.
- At least 1 year of previous document control experience, preferably in a construction environment.
- Computer, filing, and 10-key skills required.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Remarkable level of discretion and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

Qualifications
- General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
- Varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level is typically low to medium.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
