Job Summary
The Dockworker primarily works in the outside dock area of the AmeriGas facility. The employee is responsible for unloading empty propane cylinders from the truck(s), carrying them inside the dock area to the refill station, and refilling the cylinders. The filled cylinders are then moved back to the dock and reloaded onto the truck(s) for the next day’s delivery. Other duties may include cylinder repair and maintenance, providing customer training on dispensing propane, and handling refills for walk-in customers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to climb steps/ladders, walk 1-5 miles and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 lbs each
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck
Education and Experience Required
• 1 - 2 years’ work experience in manufacturing is preferred
• High School Diploma or GED

Pay
The pay for this position ranges from $18.44 to $19.44, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
