Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
- Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment
- A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
- Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to speak or hear
- Frequent standing on feet
- Regularly required to lift and move up to 50lbs
- Occasionally need to lift up to 65lbs
- Must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and whole body
- Bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
