Dock Worker - 2nd Shift

About the role

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Shipping Dock Worker to join our team. This position operates within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items, maintain accuracy, label, scan, and sort boxes for shipping, and follow all safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items
• Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions
• Label, scan, and sort boxes for shipping
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required

Requirements

• 4 months previous distribution facility experience
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs
• Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced, seasonal work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Schedule

Shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday - overtime required including Saturday

Pay

$17.00/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential

Path to Permanent Employment

New hires participate in a 90-day evaluation period designed to support training and successful integration into the team.
