Dock Worker 2nd Shift
About the role
BSP Trans, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company providing LTL transportation services in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont since 1970. We operate a six-terminal network to ensure swift deliveries for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
- Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally)
- Do math with and without a calculator
Requirements
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a high-paced team-oriented environment with great communication skills
- At least 18 years of age
- A successful completion of a county-level background check during onboarding
Qualifications
- Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
- Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- A desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail

Pay
$22 per hour
Schedule
Full Time – Monday through Friday – Start Time 5:00 PM
